Wireless Replacement Cable Setup

Reset both adapters.
1. Make sure both devices are disconnected from the serial port or electrical power.
2. Make sure the switch on each adapter is slid toward the connector.
3. Start the configuration utility.
4. Apply power to the first adapter.
5. Plug the first adapter into the serial port on the PC.
6. Click on Reset Adapter.
7. Follow the utility’s instructions.
8. Unplug first adapter.
9. Remove power from first adapter.
10. Plug the second adapter into the serial port on the PC.
11. Click on Reset Adapter.
12. Follow the utility’s instructions.
13. Unplug second adapter.
14. Remove power from second adapter.
Pair Adapters
1. Make sure both devices are disconnected from the serial port or electrical power.
2. Make sure the switch on each adapter is slid toward the connector.
3. Start the configuration utility.
4. Apply power to the first adapter.
5. Plug the first adapter into the serial port on the PC.
6. Click on Get Adapter Info.
7. After the above step is completed click on radio buttons for Baudrrate:???, Parity:???, Stopbits:???, FlowControl:Disabled (??? is your desired parameter). Note in most cases even if your device uses even or odd parity with 7 bits, set the adapters to no parity.
8. Click on Pair Adapter and follow instructions.
Connect to your units
1. Make sure the switch on first adapter is slid toward the connector.
2. Apply power and connect to the PC.
3. Make sure the switch on second adapter is slid toward the antenna.
4. Apply power and connect to the cable that was connected from the PC to the instrument.
5. Run your application.
