What causes an error 45 when trying to open a port on a PCI card that had a port previously opened and closed?[18.1, 18.1a, 18.1b]

This problem occurs starting with Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2). Previous versions of Windows 2000 masked COMM-DRV/NT not releasing resources to the system when all ports on a PCI card were closed.

Download COMM-DRV/NT v18.1d for a fix to the above problem. All versions of COMM-DRV/NT 18.1 have the same password. If you had your product shipped and not downloaded, email sales@wcscnet.com with your invoice number to prove ownership of v18.1. We will subsequently email a password.
