Using COMM-DRV/NT with WCSC’s PCI Multiport Cards Under Windows 2000 & Windows XP

You must not install the multiport serial communication drivers when using COMM-DRV/NT with WCSC’s PCI multiport cards. The driver that ships with COMM-DRV/NT will be the sole kernel driver of the multiport card. If you installed the driver, then you must remove it by downloading W2kRemDrv.zip.

Windows 2000 will detect the multiport card(s) and attempt to install them each time Windows 2000 is restarted given that a driver is not installed. To get rid of it do the following.

Select on Search for a suitable driver for my device(recommended). Then click next.

Make sure that none of the options are selected. Then click Next.

Make sure that Disable the device is selected. Then click Finish.
