COMM-DRV/NT v18.0 Press Release
WCSC is
launching COMM-DRV/NT
v18.0 on July 14th, 2000!! COMM-DRV/NT is simply the fastest and most
versatile serial communication driver for both Windows
NT and Windows 2000. This new
version maintains its incredible speed,
support for the multidrop protocol, support for the nine-bit protocol, and much
more. This new version adds several new features that make this version a must
have.
Whether one is working on simple or complex serial
communication applications, COMM-DRV/NT is
the driver of choice.
Major New Features:
Support for virtually all PCI
& ISA non-intelligent multiport
cards based on the 8250 & 16x50 family of UARTs.
Auto detection of 16650 UART.
Use of hardware flow control built into 16550 UART for
perfect control of transmit and receive buffer overflows on the remote and
local UART respectively.
Optimized use of the 16650 built in
buffering for high speed communication without excessive interrupts.
Support for microsecond timestamp resolution on each byte.
Support and compliance with Windows 2000.
Improved Features:
Enhanced manual printed and online.
Crisper nine-bit protocol handling
Crisper multidrop protocol handling.

Fixed Issues:
Fixed the problem with 16550 FIFO errors causing the UART to
effect an interrupt handler lock that could hang a computer in real time.
Fixed a problem with parent port handling that caused the
loss of a port control block for every failed parent port call. This would
cause a permanent depletion of available ports.
LEAVE_DTR flag now functional.

Upgrade to COMM-DRV/NT v18.0 today.
