WCSC is releasing COMM-DRV/NT. COMM-DRV/NT is an ultra fast interrupt driven serial port driver/DLL/library that gives the software engineer/programmer complete control of the serial port under Windows NT.

COMM-DRV/NT is a low-level driver/DLL that attaches to the serial port directly. It does not use any of the serial communication services from the Windows NT communication subsystem. As such, there is no unnecessary layering of services that are time consuming.

COMM-DRV/NT provides support for the Multi-drop protocol, the Nine-Bit protocol, and the time stamping of inputted data. It supports buffer sizes limited only by available memory.

COMM-DRV/NT can be called from any language, tool or application that can call DLLs. It supports the standard COM ports as well as all multiport cards based on the 8250/16450/16550/16750/16850 family of UARTs.
