1. Use Hyperterm to dial your modem. This will cause a log file to get created in the Windows directory with the name ModemLogXXX.txt  where XXX is the modem name.
2. Open the file and view the initialization string.
3. After the port is opened with the OpenComPort(), use ModemModifyString() string_code=1 to set the new initialization string.
4. Issue a ModemInit() call before using the modem.
